A warm roof is a solid, fully insulated roof that replaces the polycarbonate or glass on your conservatory. Because the insulation sits within the roof structure, the room stays warm in winter and cooler in summer, just like the rest of your house.
How the Nu-Look warm roof is built
From the outside in, the Nu-Look system is made up of these layers:
- Tapco composite roofing tiles
- 25mm x 50mm treated tile battens
- A breather membrane
- A second set of battens
- 40mm Actis multifoil quilt
- 90mm Hybris honeycomb insulation
- 125mm x 150mm rafters at 400mm centres
- 27mm Thermaline insulated plasterboard with an internal vapour control layer
The result is a U-value of 0.14 W/m²K.
